Mr G’s Environmental Systems and Societies

Welcome to the new home of sciencebitz.com. Mr G’s Sciencebitz.com originated in 2007 when there were no textbooks available or any other resources available for the old IB Environmental Systems course. With the introduction of ESS in 2009, the entire site was updated but has sadly since then only had updates every now and again as other IB roles have got in the way.

Mr G’s Sciencebitz @ Four Corners Education will be a new starting point with some new directions.

However until that entire migration occurs the original sciencebitz.com is still available from hitting the oak tree below.

The site is designed to help students studying the IB Environmental Systems and Societies course at IB Diploma Level. However it is also useful for any High School students doing ecology, geography or environmental science.

The site is built to help students review and prepare for summative assessments in the subject as well as provide additional understanding, examples and ways of thinking about the course.

For a greater depth and coverage of these Topics also refer to the Sciencebitz Courses via the tab above were self contained lessons with many resources, notes, videos and assessment materials can be found to further aid the review and preparation for summative assessments in the subject as well as provide additional understanding, examples and ways of thinking about the course.

We are part of the world around us – we are part of nature and nature is part of us.

Our planet is a complex set of interacting dynamic systems that given the problems we are facing at the start of the 21st Century need an understanding which may be vital to our future.

Environmental systems helps to put all of this into context.
